The KenM Philosophy

(“Why, Oh Why?” … you ask with a sigh)

If you were to ask my wife why I am doing all of this she would tell you that it is all an elaborate ploy to avoid doing the dishes. She’s right … in part. However, while coming up with ways to avoid housework I inadvertently stumbled upon several key truths to life. Here they are, more or less:

  • TV’S AND COMPUTERS DO LOTS OF NEAT THINGS FOR YOU …

but

  • GOD HAS GIVEN EACH OF US A PRICELESS TREASURE IN OUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS …

and

  • NEITHER THE COMPUTER NOR THE TV IS ONE OF THEM.

WHY GAMES?
In this world there is no limit to the things that are ready, willing, and able to draw us away from real human contact. Schedules are so busy that any spare time in a family’s week seems to be given over to “Veggin’ in front of the Tube” or “Surfin on the Net.”  Despite the number of people in the (living/chat) room with you, it is still a very solitary endeavour. Friends have trouble conversing any more. Families have trouble relating any more. While I can’t claim to have the solution, I can tell you that playing more games with actual, live, breathing, face-to-face, people certainly couldn’t hurt.  Games go a long way to promoting old fashioned discussions, laughter, and human bonding.  As an added bonus many of the better games will also help to bring out creative thinking, planning, math/counting skills, and the ever important ideal of “Do unto others, Before they can do unto you!”

WHY FREE?
Some people have told me that I should be seeking monetary compensation for all my efforts (no one who’s actually played one though).  I’d rather you spent your money and your time on the people you know and care about.  I offer my silly little games to you for free with the following stipulations:

  1. You get what you pay for … (’nuff said)
  2. I’ve got enough money, all I want from you is your adoration SO…
  3. If you LIKE the games … Please feel free to share them
  4. If you DON’T like something … Please let me know.
  5. Same goes for any suggestions on how to make the games better!

NOW … PICK OUT A GAME OR TWO … TURN OFF THE COMPUTER AND THE TV … AND SPEND SOME TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
